About the role
The RMM Platform Manager is responsible for leading and evolving Node4’s Remote Management & Monitoring capability across our customers and internal platforms. You’ll own the RMM strategy, platforms and people, driving proactive monitoring, automation, patching and endpoint security while ensuring services are scalable, secure and operationally effective. Working closely with engineering, service delivery and security teams, you’ll lead a high‑performing team and continuously improve how RMM is delivered across the business.
Key responsibilities
Leading and line‑managing the RMM Platform team, setting clear direction, priorities and performance expectations
Owning the RMM platform strategy and long‑term technical roadmap
Ensuring effective workload management, task allocation and delivery against business requirements
Acting as the RMM subject matter expert, providing guidance and capability uplift across technical teams
Overseeing day‑to‑day administration and optimisation of RMM platforms, including agent deployment, policies and structure
Driving automation and scripting to enable self‑healing, proactive maintenance and scalable service delivery
Defining and executing patch management strategies across operating systems and third‑party applications
Designing proactive monitoring and alerting frameworks while reducing alert fatigue
Ensuring endpoint security, vulnerability management, backup and compliance standards are met
Owning escalations, major incident support and out‑of‑hours escalation where required
Defining and tracking KPIs, dashboards and operational reporting
Ensuring documentation is accurate, accessible and fit for purpose
Supporting acquisition due diligence and integration activities
Building a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and professional development
What will you bring?
A strong background in supporting customers in a Managed Services environment
Proven experience leading and developing a technical team
Deep knowledge of RMM, monitoring and endpoint management platforms (e.g. N‑Central, Site24x7 or similar)
Strong understanding of patch management, endpoint security and vulnerability management (e.g. SentinelOne)
Experience with backup and data protection solutions
Strong automation and scripting capability
Confidence engaging with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
A structured, proactive and risk‑aware approach to platform management
A positive, delivery‑focused mindset with strong organisational skills
