About the role
At Node4, we’re passionate about delivering cloud services that our customers can truly rely on. With our own UK data centres, national MPLS network and a broad portfolio spanning Cloud, Connectivity, Managed Services and Unified Communications, we’re continuing to grow at pace.
We’re now looking for a Cloud Support Team Leader to play a key role in that journey. You’ll combine strong technical knowledge with confident people leadership, setting the standard for service excellence while developing and motivating a high-performing cloud support team.
As our Cloud Support Team Leader, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day operation of our cloud support team, making sure our customers receive a consistently excellent experience.
You’ll:
Lead, mentor and develop a team of Cloud Support Engineers
Oversee cloud service incidents, requests and escalations, ensuring timely and effective resolution
Own and manage client escalations, setting exceptional service as the standard
Define, manage and deliver against SLAs across cloud services
Work closely with Product and Delivery teams to improve services and embed best practice
Represent Node4 in service review meetings and actively engage with customers on priorities
Monitor performance, identify improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure security policies, patching and compliance standards are met across client environments
Support service transition from Project Delivery into Operations
Run regular team meetings, performance reviews and set clear KPIs
Keep up to date with cloud technologies, trends and certifications

Essential skills & experience:
Proven leadership experience within a cloud or technical support environment, with a strong focus on developing and mentoring people
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage across technical and non-technical audiences
Strong time management, organisation and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
A proactive mindset with the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
High attention to detail and a right-first-time approach
Solid experience working within an ITIL environment with ITIL Level 3 certification (or equivalent)
Technical capability (essential):
Strong hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms, including:
Private Cloud technologies such as VMware and vCloud Director
Public Cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure and AWS
Experience working within a Managed Service Provider environment
Background as a Cloud Support Engineer or similar technical role
Strong technical problem-solving skills combined with the ability to make sound leadership decisions
