About the role
We are looking for a Business Central Technical Support Consultant to join our rapidly growing Microsoft Business Applications support team. You’ll be providing high-quality technical support to customers using Dynamics 365 Business Central, along with previous versions of Dynamics NAV.
In this role, you will investigate and resolve technical incidents, troubleshoot system issues, and deliver an excellent customer support experience. You’ll work closely with both clients and our internal development and delivery teams to resolve issues and support the ongoing stability and optimisation of customer systems.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has hands-on experience with Business Central (or NAV), enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about delivering a high level of customer service.
In this role you'll:
- Provide technical support for Dynamics 365 Business Central and previous Dynamics NAV versions
- Investigate and resolve incidents, technical issues, and service requests raised by customers
- Troubleshoot and diagnose errors related to Business Central extensions, integrations, and performance
- Support upgrades, bug fixes, data corrections, and configuration adjustments as needed
- Collaborate with developers and consultants to resolve more complex issues requiring deeper technical intervention
- Monitor open cases, manage priorities, and communicate effectively with customers to provide updates and resolutions within agreed SLAs
- Document solutions, workarounds, and known issues to contribute to the support knowledge base
- Assist with testing, deployment, and validation of fixes or updates
- Provide advice and guidance to customers on best practices, minor improvements, and system usage
- Contribute to process improvements within the support function to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency
What will you bring?
- Proven experience providing technical support for Dynamics 365 Business Central or Microsoft Dynamics NAV
- Good understanding of Business Central architecture, including AL code, extensions, and integrations
- Solid troubleshooting skills for both functional and technical issues within an ERP environment
- Ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues, data errors, and configuration problems
- Familiarity with API integrations, SQL databases, and data management in BC/NAV is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical solutions into clear guidance for customers
- Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple cases and priorities effectively
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a wider support and delivery team
- Exposure to Azure services or Power Platform would be beneficial but is not essential
- ITIL knowledge or experience working within a service management framework is desirable
