About the role
This role is broad, covering a number of clients. Our engagements vary from full-time roles with clients to shorter, impact-driven activities. Our Business Analysts work with customers to understand their unique business challenges and opportunities, helping them to maximise the value of their digital investment – no matter which industry they are in. Acting as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring technology projects meet business objectives by gathering and analysing requirements, facilitating communication, and supporting the development of solutions. They participate in testing and validation to ensure quality and support change management to prepare organisations for technology implementation.
Our Business Analysts work with customers to understand their unique business challenges and opportunities, helping them to maximise the value of their digital investment – no matter which industry they are in.
As a Business Analyst, your responsibilities will include the following:
- Gather, prioritise, analyse, specify and validate requirements
- Facilitate & co-ordinate user workshops and stakeholder input
- Being an ‘ambassador’ for digital solutions, advising on best practice and identifying where it will add value to customers
- Provide hands on business process knowledge as well as manage client relationships within the context of the role
- Execute assigned tasks within a structured project environment
- Document user stories and customer requirements in a way that enables development activities to be completed in line with client needs
- Investigate problems and analyse customer needs for new and existing services. Participate in the design and architecture of business process solutions
- Bringing your personal energy and enthusiasm to your work for clients and for Node4
- Mentoring and supporting Junior or associate team members with your expertise and experiences.
What will you bring?
- Business Process – you will be able to quickly understand how businesses operate, and where you can advise them of areas of improvement through more effective usage of technology.
- Stakeholder Management – your role necessitates customer-facing activity, so the ability to communicate openly and clearly with staff at different levels is an important skill.
- Change Management – you will be able to spot areas for improvement and have an ability to influence how people operate.
- Confidence – the role does demand that you are comfortable talking to large groups and business stakeholders in a workshop environment where you are leading both the input and the output. Confidence to challenge the customer, confidence to articulate a different view, whilst ensuring everyone remains engaged throughout.
- Agile Working – you can identify and compare the best processes and delivery methods to use. You help teams to manage and visualise outcomes, prioritise and work to agreed MVP and scope.
- User Focus - You can identify needs and engage with users or stakeholders to collate user needs evidence. You understand and can define research that fits user needs. You can use quantitative and qualitative data about users to turn user focus into outcomes.
- Coaching/Mentoring – the desire to share best practice with peers and team members within Node4 or customers as appropriate
- Departmental Growth – Take the initiative to research and develop new approaches and ideas to further the Business Analysis offering at Node4
DESIRABLES
- Digital Implementation – you will have delivered digital or IT transformation programmes, whether that be CRM/ ERP implementations or other technologies.
- Trusted Advisor – you will possess the softer skills to build relationships to such an extent you become the go-to person for advice and guidance, particularly when the there is an open conversation to be had about direction of travel.
- Detail Focused – You will be able to produce programme deliverables as well as leading strategic thinking. You will demonstrate a can-do attitude.
- Business Analysis Certifications – you may be professionally qualified, for example via BCS, APMG or another body.
- Microsoft Dynamics – A knowledge of the platform would be of great benefit.
- Accessibility – An understanding of Accessibility standards, for example WCAG.
- GDS – Experience of delivering under Government Digitals Standards Framework.
