About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and driven Business Development Team Leader to lead a team of Junior Business Development Executives in our Newbury Office. You’ll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing key relationships, and driving revenue through strategic direction.

What will you be doing?
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Junior Business Development Executives to meet and exceed targets.
- Ability to identify a lead, complete the first step in qualification, and then hand it over to an Account Manager to push through the sales cycle.
- Effectively manage your pipeline to ensure consistent and timely follow-up on leads and appointments, ensuring all sales opportunities are pursued and moved through the sales cycle.
- Develop and execute growth strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to refine outreach strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to align go-to-market efforts.
- Monitor team performance and provide regular coaching, training, and feedback.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, pipelines, and performance reports.

- Experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
- Proven ability to drive business growth and close high-value deals.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think both short- and long-term.
- Strong understanding of markets, trends, and client needs.
- Proficient with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
