About the role
This role is broad, covering a number of clients. Our engagements vary from full-time roles with clients to shorter, impact-driven activities. Some days you will be engaging with the c-suite on investment decisions. Others you will be undertaking detailed programme planning with operational staff. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with staff at all levels is critical for the success of this role.

It’s not a role where there are unmovable guardrails – the very fact that we can be agile in our thinking, direction and approach means we can adjust accordingly to where the client is on that transformation/ change maturity scale.

The quality of your work will ultimately be judged by the benefits that our clients derive from their use of technology. We strive to raise adoption levels, remove resistance to change and deliver value as soon as it is logical to do so.

Whilst maintaining client contact you will also be focused on the development and growth of the Business Transformation offering.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Contributing to the delivery of projects and programmes to meet and exceed client expectations, always delivering high quality outputs

• Analysing complex problems to scope, discuss and carry out required tasks, independently

• Building relationships, especially with peers from client organisations and across Node 4

• Identifying opportunities for improvements – to the way Node 4 works as well as to client delivery and project outcomes by building new offerings aligned with customer and market expectations

• Contributing to a successful partnership with our clients. You will have relationships and interaction with key stakeholders, so will be expected to manage risk, share knowledge, and contributing to project plans and pricing models

• Contributing and leading new business development opportunities and client pursuits

• Keeping up to date on relevant market trends, key functional and technical skills, and proactively sharing relevant knowledge with team members

• Assisting with the integration and inclusion of team members and operating as a part of a high performing team

• Reinforcing our values through day-to-day behaviours and challenging where these are not demonstrated in others

• Bringing your personal energy and enthusiasm to your work for clients and for Node 4.

What will you bring?

• At least 3-5 years of professional experience either on the business side or in a consultancy role delivering complex technology-led transformations and business change

• Previous experience in IT Management, Project Management and/or Software Consultancy advantageous.

• Knowledge of/ experience in any of the Enterprise level technologies and their organisational implications

• Knowledge of/ experience in client/ user-centred digital transformation programmes.

• A recognised programme/ change management qualification (e.g. Prosci/ CCMP/ APMG) is preferred, but not essential.

Desirable Experience

• Leadership – the role requires strong leadership in terms of the management of the key stakeholders within any given technology change programme. You will be used to leading complex work streams and leading people who may be relatively new in role, or do not have the required experience/ vision to progress their areas of focus. Experience of mentoring, formally or informally, would be beneficial.

• Digital Implementation – you will have delivered digital or IT transformation programmes, whether that be CRM/ ERP implementations or other technologies.

• Programme Management – the role requires you to have a firm background in defining and managing a programme of work, in particular putting in the right governance and controls in place. You will understand and be able to operate under various programme and project management frameworks.

• Trusted Advisor – you will possess the softer skills to build relationships to such an extent you become the go-to person for advice and guidance, particularly when the there is an open conversation to be had about direction of travel.

• Analysis – you will be analytical and comfortable with the use and application of data to inform your decision-making.

• Detail Focused – You will be able to produce programme deliverables as well as leading strategic thinking. You will demonstrate a can-do attitude.

• Confidence – the role does demand that you are comfortable talking to large groups and senior stakeholders in a workshop environment where you are leading both the input and the output. Confidence to challenge the client, confidence to articulate a different view, whilst ensuring everyone remains engaged through out.
