About the role
Manage, support and develop the Node4 LogicMonitor platform helping internal teams and external customers make best use of the platform.
Responsibilities
- Subject Matter Expert: Act as the primary subject matter expert for Node4s LogicMonitor deployment, keeping up to date with new releases of LogicMonitor and new features.
- User Guidance: Provide support and training to end users of the platform, helping them make best use of the platform.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to data source collections, collector deployments, alerting rules and integrations, user accounts and access.
- Data Source Development: Design, implement, and maintain LogicMonitor datasources to cover the evolving requirements of the business.
- Dashboard and report creation: Design and create dashboards and reports to expose the metrics to end user requirements ensuring data visibility and accessibility for decision making.
- API integration: Write scripts to extract data or perform bulk operations against LogicMonitor resources.
What will you bring?
As Logicmonitor Subject Matter Expert you will need knowledge of many scripting languages and management systems. . These include::-
- Management Protocols: Proficient in network management protocols including: SNMP, WMI, REST and SOAP APIs, PowerShell, Syslog
- Monitoring and Incident Management: Strong understanding of alerting mechanisms and event management processes. Familiarity with ITIL best practices and frameworks. Knowledge of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) concepts and practices.
- Scripting and Development: Proficient in scripting languages including: GroovyScript for developing custom data sources in LogicMonitor. JavaScript for custom user facing API integrations. Python for automation, data manipulation, and scripting tasks.
Technical Skills:
- Ability to design and implement monitoring solutions across various platforms.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to network and system monitoring.
- Knowledge of system performance metrics and data analysis techniques.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
