About the role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled IT Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in end-user IT support, with a focus on Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central (BC).
This role will involve providing first-line support, system installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Microsoft Business Central environments, including databases, web services, and network infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT support professional looking to specialize further in the Microsoft Business Central ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1st line support for Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central (BC) users, troubleshooting user issues, and resolving technical problems.
- Assist with the setup, installation, configuration, and upgrading of Microsoft Business Central systems in a Windows Server environment.
- SQL Database Management: o Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of SQL Server databases, including database backups, restores, and optimization.
- Write and execute SQL queries to assist in data retrieval and reporting tasks.
- Assist customers with monitor and maintenance of SQL databases used inNAV/ Business Central environments.
- Assist with the configuration and maintenance of network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and connectivity for Business Central and related systems
- Support the setup and management of web services, IIS (Internet Information Services), and Webservice configurations for integration with Business Central.
- TLS/SSL and Security Management: o Configure and manage TLS (Transport Layer Security) and SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificates for securing web services, ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices.
- Ensure all systems and services are updated with the latest security patches, including antivirus software and firewalls.
- Understand day-to-day management of Windows Server environments, including server health monitoring, updates, and backups.
