About the role

Node4 are expanding their Data Ops technical team and are looking for an experienced Senior Database Engineer (DBA) who is passionate about RDBMS technology. This is a "hands-on" senior technical support position requiring in-depth technical skill and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will be forward thinking, customer focused and self-motivated with the drive to improve database services and the user experience.

What will you bring?

• Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills, identifying root causes and offering solutions
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Confident, self-assured ability to communicate effectively at all levels with clients, technical and non-technical stakeholders with proven ability to influence outcomes.
• Prioritise and effectively manage your time amongst several concurrent projects and support
• Prioritise and effectively manage workload across multiple support requirements
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
• Manage the smooth flow and resolution of customer support issues.
• Technical ownership of issues and mentor of junior colleagues
• Demonstration of senior behaviours in client and team interactions
• Active contribution to Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives – runbooks, knowledgebase, team skills, automation etc.
• A natural desire to continue developing skills and build on experience.
