About the role
As a developer within our Power Platform and Customer Engagement function you will be a pivotal part of driving the success of the Power Platform project portfolio within the Node4 group. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building technical solutions for a range of clients and projects, as well as an understanding of how development can be used to enhance the Microsoft Dynamics platform. The developer will be responsible for building and designing the technical elements of a project and providing this additional knowledge to the consultant and wider project team.
What will you bring?
As a CXM Developer, your responsibilities will include the following:
- Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and end-users to gather and understand business requirements related to Dynamics 365 and Power Platform applications.
- Solution: Design and architect solutions technical elements to support and enhance the Dynamics 365 and Power Platform tools, ensuring alignment with business needs, best practices, and platform capabilities.
- Development: Develop custom plugins, workflows, business process flows, custom connectors, and integrations using technologies like Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and Azure services. It is also desirable to have experience with Power Pages/Power Portals.
- Integration: Integrate Dynamics 365 and Power Platform applications with other third-party systems, databases, or services using APIs, connectors, or custom integration solutions.
- Data Migration: Plan and execute data migration strategies to transfer data from legacy systems or external sources into Dynamics 365 or other related platforms, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- System Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct high level system testing of developed solutions to ensure functionality, performance, security, and compatibility.
- Deployment & Maintenance: Deploy solutions to production environments, monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, apply patches, updates, and enhancements as required to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.
- Training & Support: Provide training to end-users or support consultants in delivering training on how to use the elements that you have developed on a project. Offer ongoing support, guidance, and expertise to address issues, enhance functionalities, and optimise processes.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest updates, features, best practices, and trends in Dynamics 365 and Power Platform development. Continuously upgrade skills and knowledge through training, certifications, and hands-on experience.
Skills
Technical Skills:
- Dynamics 365 Knowledge: Deep understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, including customisation, configuration, and extension capabilities.
- Power Platform Expertise: Proficiency in Power Apps (Canvas Apps, Model-driven Apps, Power Pages), Power Automate (Flows), Power BI (Reports, Dashboards), and Power Virtual Agents.
- Programming Languages: Familiarity with programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, and HTML/CSS.
- Integration Skills: Experience in integrating Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions with other systems, databases, APIs, and services using connectors, APIs, Azure services, or custom integration methods.
- Data Management: Knowledge of data migration, transformation, cleansing, and synchronisation techniques within Dynamics 365 and Power Platform environments.
- Azure Services: Understanding of Azure services like Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Active Directory is desirable.
- Development Tools: Proficiency in using development tools such as Visual Studio, Power Platform Studio, Azure DevOps, and other relevant IDEs and platforms.
- Security & Compliance: Knowledge of security models, roles, permissions, data encryption, and compliance standards relevant to Dynamics 365 and Power Platform applications.
Soft Skills:
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse complex business requirements, identify gaps, and design effective solutions using Dynamics 365 and Power Platform technologies.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, gather requirements, present solutions, and provide training and support.
- Problem-Solving: Aptitude for troubleshooting issues, resolving technical challenges, and implementing innovative solutions to meet business objectives.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to project success.
- Time Management: Effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills to manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines concurrently.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified:
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate
- Experience: Hands-on experience in developing, customising, implementing, and maintaining Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions in real-world scenarios is essential.
