Azure Consultant

Node4, an Azure Expert Managed Services Provider (MSP), are looking for an experienced Azure consultant to join our rapidly growing team with a focus on best practices and ensuring that Node4 drive value throughout all stages of their customer’s Azure journey.

What will you be doing?

As an Azure Consultant you will be an integral part of the N4Stack (Azure) team, responsible for….. 

  • Be a senior technical resource to customers looking to adopt Azure, ensuring best practices.
  • Contribute to the development on Node4’s Azure strategy in line with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Microsoft Azure Well-Architected Framework.
  • Deliver Cloud workshops with customers to assist with planning strategy, adoption plans and design.
  • Be the senior technical resource working alongside the Node4 engineering and commercial teams to help deliver:
  • Costed design and migration plans for customers looking to migrate to Azure
  • Undertake migration assessments for customers on-premises workloads
  • Deploy a governance MVP for customers using best practice design, blueprints and policies
  • Deliver monthly reporting to customers and chair cloud governance meetings to address security, identity, costs management and resource consistency opportunities.

What will you bring?

As an Azure Consultant you will be expected to demonstrate certain skills in order to successfully fulfil the role. 

These include: 

  • Experience in the following technology areas:
  • Azure Policies and Blueprints
  • Configuration, Automation & Orchestration: e.g. Terraform, Ansible, ARM or Bicep and Azure DevOps
  • Source Control:  Git or Microsoft Team Foundation server preferred
  • Continuous Integration and Deployment Pipelines
  • Web and Database technologies such as IIS, Apache, .Net, .Net Core, NodeJS and MSSQL
  • Scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash
  • Exposure to AWS and GCP will be highly regarded
  • You’ll need to be natural consultant, able to advise senior stakeholders, work comfortably without detailed definition and apply a progressive technology approach to a problem.
  • Have a good understanding of how to put together software – from short technical spikes to enterprise systems
  • You’ll be an inquisitive technologist and naturally encourage others to be alike.
  • You’ll need excellent communication skills, both written & verbal, both in front of other staff, and in front of clients
  • An awareness of Information Security controls and an accreditation framework such as ISO 27001:2013 or PCI DSS.

The role will also you to hold and maintain the following qualifications: 

  • To hold or be working towards the Azure Solutions Architect accreditation
  • Practical experience of architecting, configuring, and supporting highly available applications within Microsoft Azure and their supporting services.
