Licencing Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Licensing Manager to join our Commercial team to assist with the management of Customer and Node4 internal license requirements and processes. This an exciting new role that aims to streamline and further evolve many activities that currently take place across this business.

 

 What you'll be doing..

Reporting to the Commercial Manager the key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Licences Management
  • Keep up-to-date on licensing arrangements across key Vendors
  • Use vendor models and offers to optimizing Node4s overall license spend
  • Assist the Commercial Manager with reviewing license agreements
  • Take ownership of the company’s software licensing compliance for both Node4 internal licensing and customer provided software licenses under Service Provider agreements.
  • Scope out and implement a license compliance process integrating with existing ERP and Software Asset Management (SAM) tools.
  • Interface with all relevant business departments to ensure they are aware of the process and its importance and are trained to fulfill their roles.
  • Generate relevant and timely management reports to monitor compliance activity, generate actions and to highlight compliance gaps.
  • Manage licensing audits and compliance reviews
  • Support Sales teams on queries relating to the licensing aspects of new orders
  • Keep the relevant business units updated on any pending changes to key license terms that could impact commercial arrangements with customers
  • Use SAM tools and related information to ensure customer billing is complete and accurate for customer software deployment
  • Interface with sales and account management teams to ensure licensing billing is appropriately addressed in day to day dealings and account management reviews and if necessary be comfortable with liaising with clients directly explain and address license billing shortfalls
  • Create and disseminate management reports for use with customers, to monitor revenue assurance and to highlight billing shortfalls/gaps.
  • Liaise with Commercial Manager to ensure Terms and Conditions, Service Schedules and any bespoke arrangements are in line with licensing best practice.
  • Become familiar with all aspects of License Mobility, including applicability, maintenance requirements and billing arrangements.
  • Ensure Node4 complies with all necessary vendor requirements to accept Mobility
  • Ensure customers asserting Mobility comply with relevant vendor verification processes.
  • Generate relevant and timely management reports to monitor compliance activity, generate actions and to highlight compliance gaps.
  • Become familiar with all aspects of metered licensing, including applicability, maintenance requirements and billing arrangements.
  • Ensure Node4 complies with all necessary vendor requirements
  • Generate relevant and timely management reports to monitor metered activity.

 

What we're looking for..

  • Experience of licensing covering a range of Vendors but particularly Microsoft
  • Demonstrable prior experience from a similar role.
  • Is able to work independently within a busy and varied environment.
  • Is able to motivate other team members to fulfill actions relevant to licensing and be diligent in chasing/following up across other departments of the business.
  • Has strong attention to detail and can handle information confidentially.
  • Good project management skills
  • Good excel skills.
